Steps in How to Clean Leather Car Seats

Richlands drivers will find leather seat care simple and quick when following the below steps. All you need are some white microfiber cloths, leather-safe soap, a soft scrub brush, and leather conditioner to remove most stains. Here’s how:

  1. Vacuum any loose debris, sand, and dirt.
  2. Wipe down the seats with a pH-neutral soap and water cleaning solution on a soft white cloth. If you have perforated leather seats, be mindful to not get too much solution in any perforations.
  3. Cleanse the seats with the soft scrub brush and a damp cloth.
  4. Apply an approved leather conditioner to the seats with a microfiber cloth. When the conditioner is completely dry, buff with a clean microfiber cloth. This will keep your leather seats from cracking.

Leather Car Seat Care Tips

Leather car seat care is easier than many drivers expect. Keep a small bottle of leather-safe cleanser and a microfiber cloth in your console to handle small stains on the go. That way, you can get ahead of bigger problems in the future by handling small ones as they occur.

If you can store your car in the garage or a carport instead of parking in the Sneads Ferry sun, you’ll help prevent your leather seats from cracking and fading over time. Parking in a shady area is always the best option. Just like skin, leather can be damaged by sun exposure. The more exposure it gets, the more potential there is for damage.
