Mike Alford NADA Chairman

Please congratulate our very own Mike Alford — the Dealer Principal of Marine Chevrolet and Trent Cadillac Buick GMC — for ascending into the role of the 2022 NADA Chairman on March 12th, 2022. He succeeded Paul Walser, partner of the Walser Automotive Group. His background includes being a new-car dealer since 1997, in addition to attaining positions in departments, such as Industry Affairs, Legislative Affairs, and Public Affairs. He was also the chairman of Regulatory Affairs. One of the aspects that sets Alford apart is his dedication to uplifting and empowering the military; he has employed many former service members and dependents over the course of his tenure at Marine Chevrolet.

Incoming EV Era

Mike Alford was the one who encouraged America’s franchised auto dealers to ride the new wave of incoming electric vehicles, instead of retreating to what was already known.

“This is going to be a big leap for a lot of customers,” explains Alford. “But dealerships are the launching pad for enabling millions of car buyers to choose electric. If the government and OEMs are serious about scaling EVs and getting them into the mass market, then dealerships are the way forward.”

In short, it’s our hope to welcome the new wave of electric vehicles and make it a part of our current industry and ecosystem.

New ASE Adopt-A-School Program

With the assistance of NADA and the National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE), we hope to give back through the new Adopt-A-School program. Through the Adopt-A-School program, we hope to empower students to have access to useable real-world automotive training classes. The Adopt-A-School Program allows students to feel more self-actualized as they pursue the passions they’re looking towards.
